GR-2 and GR-4 Online Glossmeters

The online glossmeter s GR-2 and GR-4 allow high speed non-contact gloss measurement for continuous manufacturing processes such as roll paper, films, etc. Both instruments can be factory configured to measure either 60° or 75° gloss.

Using one of these instruments, fast quality control becomes possible in production processes. The GR-4 is equiped with automatic calibration, realized by an internal calibration plate positioned by an air cylinder.

There are four options for the display interface. For a single glossmeter and simultaneous digital and recording interfaces, select Model 1. Model 2 allow the interfacing of up to three glossmeters. Model 3 has wider recording paper, for more accurate visual reading of the gloss data. Model 4 has no recording interface, only digital. All models output digital data to a computer.

The selection of measurement angle and display interface model must be made at the time of purchase.

The green bar shows the calibration plate. The GR-4 is available for 60° or 75° measurement systems. The selection must be made at the time of purchase for the devices to be factory configured to a specific gloss angle.

Engineering drawings are available to allow you to build either the GR-2 or GR-4 directly into your manufacturing production process. These rugged assemblies come with sturdy mounting points, and locator stops to position the device correctly with respect to your production materials.
